Chief Executive Officer
Dan was recruited by the Board of Directors in early 2016 to lead the development of MHC, moving it from idea to value-creating operating entity. In partnership with the Board and other key leaders of the founding systems, Dan has charted the path forward for MHC with three strategic vectors, each a requirement for excellence in value-based population health: advanced healthcare analytics, clinical transformation, and innovative health benefit market offerings.
Prior to joining MHC, Dan was CEO of the University of Iowa Health Alliance. His career also includes nearly 12 years with UnitedHealthcare, spending most that time as CEO, for UHC of Iowa and Central Illinois, as well as time with Johnson & Johnson and as an artillery officer in the United Stated Army.
Dan balances leading MHC with an active family life. He and his wife Diana have three school-age children; Dan also has a 22-year old daughter. He enjoys family travel, California wine and occasional golf. Dan holds a BS as a graduate of the United States Military Academy, West Point, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
VP Network & Market Development
Clint leads the development of MHC’s provider network and is responsible for implementing MHC’s population health management capabilities in the regional marketplace for employer, broker, and payor partners. Clint brings more than 10 years experience in consumer-centric healthcare, joining MHC from Florida-based Laser Spine Institute. While at Laser Spine Institute, Clint successfully developed and executed key strategic initiatives spanning physician relations, provider network development, and employer/payer contracting. Other achievements include being named an Up & Comer by the Tampa Bay Business Journal and being named an Honorary Commander of the 927th Aerospace Medicine Squadron at MacDill Airforce Base.
A former college golfer, Clint enjoys golfing, is an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, but most importantly, enjoys spending time with his family. Clint and his wife Julie, a content marketing consultant, are the proud parents of two boys, Shepard (2) and Bowman (1). Clint holds a BS in Political Science from Murray State University and an MBA from the Sykes College of Business at the University of Tampa.
VP Analytics & Technology
Michael is responsible for translating the organizational priorities of MHC and its Member Systems into technology imperatives. Prior to joining MHC, he spent three years at ICC, a technology consulting company that acquired his advanced analytics startup Farsite Group. As the co-founder of Farsite Group, Michael led engagements with Fortune 500 companies to guide store and customer growth strategies with advanced analytics. Michael has contributed content and perspective on analytics and technology via media and trade groups including Bloomberg West, The Wall Street Journal, The Data Warehouse Institute, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Michael is an avid runner and big Michigan fan who knows too many dead languages. His wife is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician and together they are proud parents of two young girls. A native of Columbus, Michael holds a BA in Ancient Greek and Latin Literature from the University of Michigan, an MA in Turkish History from the University of Minnesota, and an MBA from The Ohio State University.
VP Clinical Transformation & Strategy
Mike leads the clinical and growth strategy efforts as well as the business support functions and cultural elements of MHC. Prior to MHC, he spent five years at McKinsey & Company, largely in their healthcare provider practice helping clients manage the transition from ‘volume’ to ‘value’. He began his career at Target’s headquarters in Minneapolis, spending four years as part of their general management merchandising program.
Mike enjoys time with his family, travel, home projects, and supporting his favorite sports teams--Bengals, Hoosiers, Blue Jackets, and Crew. His wife is a Pediatrician and together they are proud parents to Ella (1 year old daughter) and Callie (cocker spaniel). A native of Cincinnati, Mike holds a BS in Business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Dr. Greg Long
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Long has deep population health and physician leadership expertise and partners with clients to help them achieve success in their value-based care transformation. His philosophy is to lead with disruptive ideas as opposed to incremental improvements.
As a board-certified Family Medicine Physician with more than 25 years of clinical and executive experience, Dr. Long served as the Chief Medical Officer and Senior VP, Systems of Care for 10 years with ThedaCare, a progressive, integrated health system in Wisconsin. In the decade prior to that, he was the senior physician leader for ThedaCare’s primary care division helping lead care model disruption and redesign resulting in the best clinical quality performance in the state of Wisconsin. Dr. Long has a passion for population health, with all the necessary components, including care redesign, direct to employer solutions, care giver and community engagement, and payor alignment.
Dr. Long graduated from the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois and completed his family medicine residency at Memorial Hospital of South Bend, Indiana.
Dr. Long and his wife, Nancy, have four children, Nate (24), Liza (22), Alex (18) and Sarah (14). He and his family enjoy warm summer days boating, skiing and tubing.
